A MAN, 24, has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run which killed a pedestrian.

A car hit Andrew Lindup, 36, as he was walking on Holtwhites Hill in Enfield, just before 7.30am on Thursday, December 15.

The car did not stop after the crash and Mr Lindup, an IT consultant, originally from Solihull, was pronounced dead at the scene by attending medics.

A vehicle was recovered in Edmonton on Thursday, December 29, leading to officers making contact with a 24-year-old man.

After attending a north London police station on Friday, December 30, he was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

The man has been bailed to return on a date in late April 2017.
