CHILDREN were given a crash-course in road safety when they were given a tour around a lorry.
Pupils from West Green Primary School, in Woodlands Park Road, and St John Vianney School, in Stanley Road, Tottenham, were visited by O’Donovan Waste Disposal.
The event was held as part of Road Safety Week, from November 21 to 27, where schools back the Make the Brake pledge – slow, sober, secure, silent, sharp and sustainable.
The eight to 11-year-olds were taught about the relationship between cyclists and lorry drivers, and were given the chance to sit inside the cab to view the road from a different perspective.
