A murder investigation has been launched after a man died in a Wood Green street.

Metropolitan Police were called at 4.44am this morning (August 23) to Glendale Avenue after reports of an injured man, believed to be in his twenties.

The London Ambulance Service were also called, but despite paramedics giving first aid the man died at the scene.

Formal identification and a post mortem have not yet happened and details of the injuries have not been publicised, but the police confirmed they are treating it as a murder.
