The council are encouraging people to nominate their favourite buildings in the borough for awards.

Nominations for the Haringey Design Awards 2016 are open until noon on September 19.

The categories are: Best green design, best historic regeneration or restoration, best place or landscaping scheme, best homes – larger developments, best house – domestic projects, best construction – commercial developments, and best community building.

Haringey Council cabinet member for housing regeneration and planning Cllr Alan Strickland said: “Pushing up the quality of design across the borough is a real priority for us. The Haringey Design Awards aim to recognise those who have brought excellent design to our borough and to celebrate the contribution that this makes.

“Whether it’s a new school, new homes or re-designed open space, if there’s new development which has caught your eye and you think deserves to be celebrated, please make a nomination.”

The shortlist will be announced on September 22 and the ceremony will be held on October 13.

The online nomination form is available here.
