A CHARITY is launching a holiday club for disabled children in Enfield.
Sense, a national deafblind charity, will run a short breaks and Saturday club for more than 100 children in the borough aged 8-years-old and over at The Hadley Centre, in Barnet, during the summer.
Debbie Snooks, community services manager at Sense, believes the club will help children with disabilities make new friends and gain confidence, while their families and carers can take a short break.
She said: “We are really excited to be extending this offer to children and young people with disabilities from Enfield.
“We are in a unique position of having two neighbouring state-of-the-art purpose built centres which can offer young people a multitude of exciting and fun on site activities from hydrotherapy to rebound, to arts, crafts and sensory play.
“We can’t wait to get started and look forward to our first holiday club this summer.”
There will be a taster session at 10am on June 4.
