A mother of four will serve a prison sentence for posting explicit images of her ex-lesbian lover on Facebook.

Samantha Watt, 31, of Harman Road, in Bush Hill Park, was given an 18-week sentence for uploading two graphic images of a 21-year-old woman who she had a five-month relationship with.

The victim, who was a lodger with Watt at the time, found that sexually explicit images had been uploaded to the social media site with the caption “this girl pays for rent with sex and dirty images.”

The post also said: "She wants a taste of Sam's life she's getting a taste of how I can be. You can't disrespect me."

Prosecuting on behalf of the Crown Anjya Hohmeyer told the court: “References were made to (the victim) and claiming she had sexual activity with children and had sexual transmitted disease.

“This is a case that relates to revenge porn and are two very graphic images of (the victim.)”

Watt had first denied the allegations, claiming the photographs were of her and put online as a joke on July 1, over two months are the relationship ended.

However, on the day of trial, November 4, she changed her plea to guilty, admitting the posts were done in “revenge” and “intention to make the victim feel alone”.

The prosecutor added: “We do not know who else has these photos now they have. They could be used to distress the victim.”

The post was online for approximately eight hours and seen by more than 100 people.

Acting as defence for Ms Watt, Layla Ferguson told the court: “Ms Watt has the made the sincerest of her action and she would never plan to do this again.

“Community order with unpaid work would allow her to perform some form of rehabilitation. She is endeavouring to control her own emotion.”

However, presiding over the case, Judge Julia Newton said the post by Watt had left an “enormous” impact on the victim.

She added: “She (the victim) has had this court cases hanging over her for a couple of months.

“You (Watt) were almost in a position of trust, being considerably older than her. Images clearly identify the person and comment about suggestion of prostitution, paedophilia and having a STI.”

She sentenced her at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court to 18 weeks in custody with nine of those weeks to be served as community services.

Watt has also been fined £460 and ordered to pay by May 25, 2016.
