The Enfield parade of lights will return for a fifth year this month.

Heading from Parsonage Lane into Enfield Town and finishing at the Civic Centre, the parade will see a multitude of entertainment on show.

Enfield Scout Band will lead the parade and North London Brass Band lead the Community singing with St Anne’s Catholic High Sch for Girls and Enfield Harmony Choir at the end of the parade by The George.

Theatre Groups from the Millfield, Dugdale and Intimate Theatre delight the crowds with floats depicting forthcoming shows,

A number of dance groups dance their way around the route, together with Enfield Blaze Cheerleaders.

After a host of entertainment the parade will conclude in the Town where Mayor of Enfield Patricia Ekechi will turn on the Christmas tree lights in the town.

This will be followed by a fireworks display at around 5.30pm on Sunday, November 29.

It is expected that more than 300 people will be in the parade itself as months of planning goes into the event.

Kathy Worrell, who helped organise the event, said last year: “It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and we have had so much support from many businesses in Enfield.

“We are giving something back to Enfield and we have brought in the festive season in style.”
