HAIRDRESSING students swapped the comfort of the salon when they cut the hair of builders working on their new college.
Pupils at Barnet and Southgate College raised £125 for Save the Children at the new Colindale campus, in Lanacre Avenue.
They hope to raise £5,000 for the charity before next July.
David Byrne, Principal of Barnet and Southgate College said: “We’re proud to be supporting Save the Children as a local community partner this year.
“Every pound raised counts towards our final target, so we thank the generosity of the builders. It’s also a great opportunity for our Hairdressing students to come and see where they’ll be training next year.
“The new building may only be a short distance from our old campus, but it’s a world away in terms of facilities and the opportunities it offers students."
