ENFIELD Council has a new team of dignitaries.
Highlands ward councillor Don Delman was sworn in as mayor last Wednesday at the council's annual general meeting. The mayoress will be former councillor Penny Heath-wood, while the new deputy mayor is Lee Chamberlain, a councillor in Southbury ward.
Cllr Chamberlain's wife Mar-cia will be deputy mayoress.
Cllr Delman has chosen three charities to support this year through the Mayor's Charity Fund. They are the mental health charity MIND Enfield, based in Edmonton, Dazu, a Ponders End organisation which runs a scheme supporting children who are carers for their parents, and the Pro Cancer Research Fund, based in Palmers Green.
