Charities and community groups have been given the chance to build a brighter future – by winning £2,000 worth of building materials.

The opportunity has been provided by Selco Builders Warehouse to mark the opening of its new branch in New Southgate.

Charities and community groups must submit an application of no more than 100 words explaining why they deserve the prize and how they would use it.

A panel of judges will then select the winner.

Sean Madden, manager of Selco’s New Southgate branch, which will be based on Brunswick Park Industrial Estate, said: “It is going to make a huge difference to the successful charity or community group and will transform the facility in which they can work.

“It is fantastic to be able to immediately give something straight back to the new community we are moving in to.”

Entries must be submitted by midday next Wednesday (October 7) and can be made online at www.selcobw.com/newsouthgatecharity
