The cousin of Khiry Ford has described the moments leading up to his death on the night of her 18th birthday party.

The 23-year-old, of Tottenham, died after being stabbed in a Haselbury Road, Edmonton in the early hours of Sunday, November 30, following a street brawl.

Jeffrey Kessie, 21, of Elderberry Drive, Nuneaton, in Warwickshire, Charles Tamale and Deo Tamale, both 19, of St Edmunds Road, Edmonton and, Ata Hansen, 18, of Church Street, Edmonton, face a charge of murder.

Ediri Omonoseh 18, of South Eastern Avenue, in Edmonton and Aaron Burrell 20, of Lacey Close, in Edmonton are also accused of conspiracy to rob along with the four men.

At the Old Bailey, Nateshia Lewin told the court she was hosting the house party for her birthday when trouble erupted on the street at around 2.30am.

“There was beef outside the house. Khiry was outside already with his friends when the robbery took place. I asked what is going on”.

Ms Lewin confronted Mr Ford in the street and tried to calm the 23-year-old down.

“Don’t make me angry” and “don’t make me do something” he said.

The party host said she was told by her friend Marcus Brown he had been robbed in the street by people who "had been watching him" at the party.

On her second visit outside, she had split Mr Ford from the crowd and claim he “was arguing with Kessie”.

She told Brian O’Neil QC prosecution counsel: “I thought Khiry was following me back into the house.”

When Ms Lewis appeared for a third time from her house, she found her cousin on the street with a stab wound to his chest.

A few days later, Ms Lewin claimed that she saw Kessie tweet “Chopper with a knife, chopper take your life” in reference to the incident.

The court heard from Paris Charles-Grant, a close friend of Ms Lewin.

She told the court she saw “around eight” men run out the house before the brawl ensued on the street.

The court is set to hear from Marcus Brown on Tuesday as the trial continues.
