The first plans in a multi-million pound cycling scheme for Enfield Town will officially go on show today.

The scheme, which received a £30million grant from Transport for London, has been shrouded in controversy with many businesses angry at the plans which sets to transform the borough.

The Dugdale Centre, in London Road, will play host between 4-8pm for people to ask questions to the council and see the plans.

Last month, the Enfield Independent revealed the plans for Enfield Town could have no traffic through Church Street, and a return of two-way traffic round Cecil Road.

This left retailers and residents fuming with the possibility of losing business and grid lock round Enfield Town which could put shoppers off.

However, businesses and those living around the Town will get a chance to vent their anger at the scheme this afternoon.
