THE magical wish of a five-year-old boy who suffers from a brain tumour came true week when he met the Fat Controller.
Simeon Lynch-Prime, from Palmers Green, travelled to Alton, in Hampshire, where he helped marshal trains on the picturesque 10-mile Mid Hants Watercress Line.
Simeon's dream came true thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charity which aims to grant the wishes of children aged three to 17 who are fighting life-threatening illnesses.
Simeon, his mother June Lynch and brother Kadeem travelled to the Alton Grange Hotel earlier this month, and after an overnight stay they were picked up by a shining limousine and taken to the railway.
Dressed in his own top hat and tails, Simeon took centre stage, riding in trains and helping the Fat Controller - Rod Wicks - guide them.
Frances Heath, Make-A-Wish Foundation regional manager, said: "It was great to see Simeon having such a great time.
"Our special thanks go to (organiser) Rod Wicks and everyone at the Watercress Line as well as Moss Bros in Covent Garden which provided Simeon with his uniform for the day."
