Students have sung their hearts out for a charity at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Pupils at Oakthorpe Primary school, in Palmers Green, joined other students from across the country to sing a medley of songs from Frozen, Groovy Grandma and Blame it on the Boogie for Barnardo’s at their young supporter’s concert.

The concert is hoping to raise up to £25,000 with the money going to help vulnerable children, young people and families across the UK.

Rebecca Keatley, the actress and CBeebies presenter who compered the event, said: “It was an incredibly special evening with children from schools across the UK coming together to support other children who need our help.

“I would like to thank everyone who was involved and hope it raises lots of money for Barnardo’s and its work with vulnerable children.”

Jen Privett, UK events manager at Barnardo’s added: “I would like to thank the staff of every school and group for taking up the gauntlet, for the hours of extra work they have put in, and for their enthusiasm for the concert.”
