A care home had cause for double celebration when it reopened and launched its own songbook.
Nairn House care centre, in Forty Hill, Enfield has undergone a six-month refurbishment and to celebrate, residents have selected 200 of their favourite songs for a new book.
Residents clapped and sang along to a few of their favourites as Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Patricia Ekechi, formally cut the ribbon to welcome people to the refurbished home.
Guests enjoyed food and drinks along with the live music from residents and music therapist Phil Evans.
The name of the songbook, Give Us A Song! comes from a phrase used by Bridie, a resident at the home.
According to Mr Evans, it would be the first thing she'd say whenever someone new walked through her front door - and was her way of sussing out what sort of person they were.
Manager Rosalind Maxwell said: “We think our transformed home looks fabulous, and more importantly so do our residents, so we're delighted so many friends, both old and new could join us to celebrate its completion with song, sun and a delicious spread.”
Resident Olive Crofts added: “They've certainly done it very well. It really feels like home, now.”
