A wildlife group has rehomed a rejected young doe.
The young deer was living in the grounds of Enfield Crematorium in Great Cambridge Road, and Aylands open space after being rejected by its herd.
It was captured by volunteers at the Wild Life Rescue Ambulance Service, who rehomed the doe at Trent Park, in Cockfosters Road, Enfield.
Barry Smitherson, who has run WRAS with wife June since the 1980s, said: “I am pleased that we were able to take the animal out of an area where it was under threat of being injured or even killed.”
Sergeant Jacquie Penn, of Enfield's Safer Parks team, said: “The deer is now safely relocated and once settled I have been advised will be placed with a stag currently resident at the same centre."
