Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the head in a block flats next to a primary school.
The man and woman were arrested following the incident in flats on the corner of Eastfield Road and Bell Lane, in Enfield Lock.
The incident took place just metres from ARK John Keats Academy primary school, in Bell Lane.
A man in his 30s has been taken to an east London hospital where he is in a stable condition. His condition is not life-threatening.
Speaking to the Enfield Independent, a mother who did not want to be named said: “My daughter goes here and I am not leaving until someone is arrested.
“It is very unnerving when this happens so close to a wonderful school, it makes you feel scared for your children knowing what has happened so close to where they study.
“Some parts round here are not safe and it’s a shame that the school is so close to this crime.”
Riot police were sent into the block of flats following the stabbing before re-emerging having arrested the pair.
