Hundreds flocked to a farm to meet newborn lambs.

Forty Hall Farm, on the Forty Hall estate, welcomed hundreds of visitors as it hosted its lambing open weekend.

Families met the farm’s newest arrivals, fed animals and watched rural craft demonstrations at the sustainable food farm, run by Capel Manor College.

Ben Windsor, 39, was visiting the farm with his two children, aged three and 18-months.

He said: “It’s a lovely event to come to as a family, as the kids love seeing all the baby animals – the pigs were their special favourite.

“The girls are enjoying all the craft activities too, and there is a lot here for us grown-ups with all the food stalls and the new farm shop. We’re having a brilliant day out.”

Visitors were also treated to morris dancing, face painting and samples of food made in and around Enfield.

The new farm shop was also unveiled during the weekend.
