A woman suffered a facial injury after a robber lunged at her with a knife.
The mugger approached the woman in Trent Gardens near its junction with Avenue Road in Southgate at around 9.25pm on Tuesday.
He demanded money from the 53-year-old and threatened her with a knife.
The robber then lunged at the woman, causing a facial injury, before running away empty-handed towards Avenue Road.
He is described as white, aged between 20 and 24 years, around 5ft 6ins and 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and ‘fresh-faced’.
The victim was later treated at a north London hospital for a facial injury and shock.
