A pensioner was left “extremely shaken” after being robbed by two men.

The 80-year-old woman had her handbag snatched by two men in Park Avenue, on Friday, January 9, just after 6pm.

The woman was pushed to the floor as the pair ran off. She suffered cuts to her hands in the process.

Detective Constable Rachel Arton, who is investigating the incident at Enfield Burglary and Robbery Unit, said: “The robbery left the victim extremely shaken and in need of medical assistance.

“The stolen bag contained money but also a number of cherished family photographs. Anyone who has any information about the incident, or who may have seen the bag or its contents, is urged to call us."

Police are now looking for two black men, aged between 18 to 23 years and wearing black bomber jackets and grey jogging bottoms. One of the men was also wearing a woolly hat.
