Enfield Borough Council has won a prize for its investment in parks.
The council received the Partner of the Year Award from Fields in Trust, for investing in Craig Park, Jubilee Park, Ponders End Park, St George’s Field and Tatem Park and protecting them by successfully applying for field in trust status.
Councillor Chris Bond, cabinet member for environment and community safety, said: “We’re proud of our parks and invest an enormous amount of time and money into providing facilities and attractions within them for our residents to use and enjoy, so it is very pleasing to receive such a prestigious national award in recognition of our efforts.”
