Hundreds of organisations of various faiths will take part in an annual Jewish day of good deeds on Sunday.

Students, colleagues and religious groups will be offering their services for Mitzvah Day, which encourages people to do a good deed for others in the community.

Charity Mitzvah Day UK, co-ordinating this year’s projects, expects hundreds of groups to take part on Sunday, November 16.

A whole host of volunteering events across North London will be held throughout the day - for the full list, click here.

Reporters from the Times and Independent Series will also be lending a few extra sets of hands, as they head to the Edgware Emmanuel Church to take part in a clothes collectathon and card making activities.

To follow the team’s progress throughout Mitzvah Day, follow our online blog at times-series.co.uk, which will be live from 8am on Sunday. You can also follow Chief Reporter Anna Slater at @AnnaTimesSeries for the latest updates and photos of the team getting stuck in.
