Police are hunting a bogus workman and his accomplice after a distraction burglary.
The man told the victim that his colleague had damaged a fence while working on the house backing onto his garden, in Waterfall Road, Enfield, last Monday at 6.30pm.
There was no damage to the fence and neighbours did not have any builders in.
But while the victim was looking at the fence, a second man entered the house and stole a number of items.
The first man was last seen leaving the house and turning on to Chandos Road. He is described as white, aged around 35 with blond bushy hair. He was 6ft tall and of medium build, and was wearing a white shirt and dark-coloured trousers.
The police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident.
