A 51-year-old man died of head injuries after a fight in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to Green Street, at the junction of Westmoor Road, Enfield, at 1.38am following reports of a fight in the street.

Paramedics found the man suffering from severe head injuries and he was pronounced dead on the scene at 2.13am.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and has been taken to a police station for questioning.
