Police officers have donated money to an elderly man after his holiday savings were robbed.

The officers had a whip-round to help raise money for a 94-year-old man who had money he had saved for a holiday taken from him.

PCSO Lee Masters, from Enfield’s neighbourhood policing team, gave the victim £122, which had been raised for the man’s forthcoming trip.

Inspector Carl Silcock, from Enfield Borough, said: “I would like to thank everyone for their contribution to this cause. The victim was clearly delighted and we hope he enjoys his trip away.”
