A dancing sensation has wowed famous judges at a national dancing competition.

Khyrese Heron, 13, of Ponders End, is part of the Intelligent Minds Dance Legion (IMD Legion) that has reached the final of Sky One’s Got to Dance television show.

The show is judged by Ashley Banjo, a member of dance group Diversity, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and tap dancer Adam Garcia.

Khyrese has been part of the east London street dance group for a year and is relishing the chance to perform in the finals tomorrow night.

The troupe was brought together in 2010 by Choreographer Omar Ansah-Awuahlater. After they were joined by Warren Gordon-Scott, aka ‘Wild G’, they have since grown in size and reputation and reached the finals in 2013.

IMD Legion are now hoping to go one step further, becoming Got to Dance champions and winning £250,000.

Revelling in the opportunity, Khryese told the Enfield Independent: "It was amazing, a life-time memory and I can't wait to do it agian tomorrow.

"I very nervous, but earlier in the day our mentor Kimberly Wyatt had spoken to us about turning our nerves into positive energy.

"I am very excited about Friday, it is going to be the biggest day of my life and I am going to give it everything I have."

Khyrese’s mother Sharon Campbell said "Khyrese has done amazing with IMD Legion, I am so proud of each and every child and they have simply lived up to their name, Intelligent Minds Dance.”
