A woman has been taken to hospital after being resuscitated following a house fire.

More than 30 firefighters tackled the blaze in Sweet Briar Green, in Edmonton, rescuing a woman from the first floor of the house.

The woman was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service after being resuscitated outside her home.

The fire, which took place approximately between 10am and 1.40pm on Saturday, resulted in all of the roof, most of the first floor and half of the second floor being damaged.

Six fire engines from Tottenham, Enfield, Southgate and Walthamstow fire stations helped put out the blaze.
