Parents have been praised for helping celebrate the 25th anniversary of a nursery school.

Enfield Day nursery, in Carterhatch Lane, celebrated 25 years of Asquith nurseries by hosting a garden party for parents, children and staff.

Children at the nursery took part in a host of activities including personalised cake decorating, balloon games and dancing competitions.

Nursery manager Alison Follows said: “We have had some lovely feedback from parents saying that they had a really enjoyable day.

“For us the garden party was not only about anniversary celebrations, it was also an opportunity to demonstrate to parents the play-based curriculum that we deliver and invite them to get involved.”

Asquith CEO and managing director, Andy Morris, said: “It’s great that parents have got behind us to help Asquith celebrate such a big anniversary.

“We are grateful to all those who have helped us notch up this milestone – I can hardly believe that we have been in business long enough to call it a quarter of a century.

“Education has come on a long way in 25 years and we are proud to have embraced the changes and seen children under our care thrive through the hard work of our diligent and caring staff. Thank you to you all.”
