An aspiring ballet star has been chosen from more than 200 hopefuls for a role in a new play.

Taylor Crouch, eleven, was selected at an audition in February for a role in the haunting adaptation of Giselle.

Taken on by the English Youth Ballet (EYB) Taylor will take part in ten days of rehearsal before her performance.

Julian Roxley said: “The young dancers we are working with in Bromley are doing so well.

“Working in a professional environment gives the students a unique insight into life in a ballet company.

“Taylor is so lucky – I wish there had been something like EYB when I was training.  I feel very privileged to be a principal with the EYB as I get to work with some of the UK’s most talented young dancers.

“I find them incredibly inspiring.”

The production will take place at the Bromley Churchill theatre with three performances on August 15 and 16.
