Bogus policeman burgles elderly woman
An elderly woman has been burgled by a man posing as a policeman.
The woman, who lives in Hansart Way, in Enfield, opened her door to a man claiming to be a policeman on Sunday, June 22.
The man told her that he was there investigate a loud bang that had been heard earlier in the day.
The man quickly walked into several rooms in the house before leaving. The woman later found several items had been taken.
The man is described as white, in his 20s, 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build with short brown hair.
He wore a brown suit and spoke with a British accent.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or may have noticed a man in the area acting suspiciously.
