A hospice’s annual twilight walk will go back to the 1980s this year celebrate 30 years of care.

North London Hospice, based in Enfield and Finchley, is calling on people to grab their neon legwarmers and commemorate 30 years of the hospice.

The walk will take place on Saturday, September 13, and will see participants set off from Finchley Rugby Club, in Summers Lane, at 7pm.

The seven-mile route will head towards East Finchley, passing North London Hospice, in Woodside Avenue, before returning to the rugby club where walkers will be given refreshments at an 1980s themed party.

Director of Fundraising at the Hospice, Robin Langrishe, said: "This is the second year the Hospice has organised such an event and we are all very excited and looking forward to a fantastic evening.

“North London Hospice is locally renowned for providing the best possible care to people during the final stages of their life and we are hoping the community will really get behind this event.”
