  • Rinaldo

Lonborough Festival Opera presents this bold “baroque Star Wars” which was Handel’s first London triumph, and includes the famous Cara Sposa and Lascia ch’io pianga. The story is a fantasy involving wizardry, volcanoes, mermaids and spectacular theatrical effects, with at its heart the young hero Rinaldo setting out to rescue his princess from evil forces. The cast includes recent graduates from the London music colleges.

  • The Merry Wives of Windsor

Award-winning Principal Theatre Company from Southgate presents an open-air production of Shakespeare’s high-spirited romp that centres on the loveable rogue Sir John Falstaff. Hard up for money, he attempts to woo the wives of two prominent men but they see through his schemes with hilarious consequences.

  • Snakecharmer

Six of the UK’s most experienced rock musicians have joined forces to create Snakecharmer. Original Whitesnake members Micky Moody and Neil Murray have teamed up with Laurie Wisefield (Wishbone Ash), Harry James (Thunder, Magnum), Adam Wakeman (Ozzy Osbourne) and Chris Ousey (Heartland) to bring you classic twin-guitar-based rock as it should be played.

  • Edinburgh Previews

Join some well-known comedians and be one of the first to catch some brand new material before they perform at the Edinburgh Festival later this year. Holly Walsh and Rich Wilson are among many to perform.

  • I Will Die the Way I’ve Lived

These 15 paintings have been created by Antonio Guerrero, one of the Cuban Five, to mark 15 years of their imprisonment. He learned to draw and paint from fellow prisoners and these works portray moments during the first 17 months the Five served in solitary confinement.
