A church hopes to provide even more homeless people with meals when it holds an event for the second time this weekend.

Bread of Heaven International Ministries will be reaching out to homeless people in Enfield tomorrow to provide a free meal and entertainment.

Last year the church helped dozens of people get a free meal and is hoping to do the same again at a car park in Dunnock Close, in Edmonton, between 2pm and 5pm.

Pastor Benjamin Holmes said: “We had great success last year and we want to make this year even bigger and help lots of people get a meal."

Josh Perkins, fundraiser at the chapel, said: “It’s great to reach out to the homeless and people should not be put off because we are a church; the event has nothing to do with religion.

“We are also helping out Age Concern this year and we hope to keep going until there is no food left.”
