MPs went head-to-head in a cricket match as they helped raise money for a charity.

Enfield North MP Nick de Bois and Enfield Southgate MP David Burrowes pitted their wits against each other for a second year running in order to raise money for charity Skills for Life: Making a Difference.

The charity helps young and senior adults get into training and employment in the borough.

With Edmonton MP Andy Love getting the match underway, the whole event at Holtwhites Cricket Club, in Kirkland Drive, Enfield, raised a total of £3,078.

Now into its second year, the event also included live music, a raffle and barbecue.

Mr de Bois’ team ran out clear winners in 2013 but it was a different story this time around with Mr Burrowes’ team taking the glory.

Mr de Bois said: "I had a great team but sadly for us the David Burrowes XI was in cracking form. The good news is the real winners were the Making A Difference Charity which I was delighted to support once again."
