Three new members have joined the new look Enfield Borough Council cabinet.

Jubilee ward councillor Rohini Sinbodyal will take the reins of the new culture, sport, youth and public health position, which merges public health with youth and leisure.

Cllr Alan Sitkin will take over from former cabinet member Del Goddard for economic development and Yasmin Brett, councillor for Bowes, will take on the new position of community organisations in the cabinet.

The Labour-run council, which extended its majority to 19 in May's election, has also created three associate cabinet members, who will be announced tonight at the first full council meeting since the election.

Council leader Cllr Doug Taylor, said: “I am confident that we have an excellent team in place who will be able to deliver excellent  services despite the very significant cuts that the Government are imposing on us."
