Scouts and Cubs across Enfield got stuck into a series of community projects during a volunteering week.

Dozens of young people from troops including 18th Edmonton, 12th Enfield and Palmers Green Explorers did their bit for Scout Community Week between June 2 and 8.

Cubs from the 18th Edmonton branch did a street litter pick in the area, while scouts gave up their time to support the North Enfield Food Bank.

The 12th Enfield group helped spruce up the area surrounding their new headquarters in Clay Hill, while the Palmers Green Explorer Scouts made bat boxes to help the wildlife in Arnos Park by request from the Friends of Arnos Park.

18th Edmonton cub scout leader Sally Symons said: “Scout Community Week is a great opportunity for the Scouts to help out and have fun at the same time. I know they’re really excited about getting involved and making a difference, and it’s great having the opportunity to show our community what we can do.”
