An Enfield jobs fair has helped 32 people find work or places on education courses.

The fair, organised by Enfield Borough Council and the Department for Work and Pensions, helped 21 people who attended find a job, with a further eleven starting training course.

Enfield Council leader Councillor Doug Taylor said: “Enfield Council is utterly committed to making Enfield a more prosperous borough and a key part of that approach is making that the people who live here have the skills and experience they need to take advantage of the jobs our partners in the private sector create.

“Our jobs and training fairs bring together businesses and potential employees and give both parties the chance to see what the other has to offer.

"The very fact that we have helped more than 30 people get into jobs and training after our last event shows they are effective and I’d thoroughly recommend that businesses who are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic staff come along and take part.”
