A community vineyard has won cash and business advice from a London-wide initiative providing support to the capital's small food enterprises.

The Forty Hall Community Vineyard was one of 32 organisations to make successful applications to Urban Food Routes from more than 80 contenders.

Wine-makers at the venue will be given up to £8,000 in cash, as well as business advice and mentoring.

The Forty Hall vineyard describes itself as a community-led, horticultural enterprise, which aims to deliver social, health and wellbeing benefits, as well as producing award-winning wine for the London market.

Sarah Vaughan Roberts from the vineyard said: "We're excited about this support from Urban Food Routes.  It will be a great opportunity to further progress our enterprise."
