A man has been jailed for causing death by dangerous driving at a roundabout in Enfield.
Saulius Kipraitis, 32, lost control of the vehicle on a roundabout in Mollision Avenue in Enfield and collided with an oncoming lorry.
The Lithuanian national then drove the damaged vehicle, a Mazda six, two miles before stopping, making off on foot and leaving his passenger, Elvada Kacerauskas, 30, critically injured in his car.
The 32-year-old did not call emergency services nor seek to help his friend.
Mr Kacerauskus was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
Both had been to a party on June 8, 2013, and the crash happened at 4am the following day.
Later that day, Kipraitis was arrested.
He has been jailed for four and a half years.
