A charity is on the look out for the best performance group in the area after announcing the return of its ‘Glee Club’ competition.
The Jack Petchey Foundation is holding the contest for the fourth year and is looking for young performers in the borough to enter.
Groups must be aged between eleven and 25 with at least eight members per group.
The foundation offers grants to projects helping young people and give groups a chance to win a share of £5,000 in prizes.
TV presenter Graham Norton will form part of the judging panel at the grand final in December 2014 at the Southbank centre.
Programme director Lee Thompson said: “The Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge just keeps getting bigger and better.
“In the initial stages it is not just about attracting the best. We are looking for potential – the boot camps are designed to help groups improve their performance skills and confidence.
“I urge any group of young people with an interest in performing to take a look at the website and have a go.”
The competition is free to enter and all entrants must be in by June 27.
