Fire under investigation on The Ridgeway after 600 tonnes of wood goes up in flames

Firefighters battled for two hours to stop 600 tonnes of tree cuttings and bark chippings going up in flames.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Enfield, Southgate and Edmonton fire stations battled the blaze on The Ridgeway in Enfield.

Emergency services were called at 10.08am on Sunday, May 11 and the fire was under control by 12.08pm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
