Teams of runners will take to the track for a 24-hour event to fight cancer next month.

Cancer Research UK, which holds the annual Race For Life in Enfield, will also be holding a Relay For Life on June 21 and 22.

The event will be part of a festival in the Henry Barrass Stadium, Jubilee Park in Edmonton.

Cancer Research UK is calling on runners and their friends and families to come together to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember those who have lost their fight with the disease and help fight back.

In the event, which will take place between 12pm on June 21, and 12pm the following day, individuals and teams will camp out in the park with the goal of keeping at least one team member running on the track at all times.
