All roads surrounding Ponders End High Street where a fire engulfed a restaurant and estate agents have reopened.

More than 70 firefighters from all parts of North London helped tame the blaze after six hours of battling in which 12 people escaped the fire.

Hertford Road between Ponders End High Street and Nags Head Road junctions has been cordoned off all day for fire crews to clear out Vadi Restaurant and secure the area.

Southbury Road had also been partly close as traffic continued to mount all day in the area.

All road have no opened again and 121, 191, 279, 307, 313, 349, 377 & 491 route buses have been placed back on their former routes.

However, as the rush hour hits, traffic is still continuous in the area.
