Edmonton MP Andy Love has nominated his favourite Asian restaurant for a prestigious national award.
Chennai Spice in Hertford Road, Edmonton, was chosen by the MP for the Tiffin Cup 2014, a competition that celebrates Asian restaurants across the capital.
The restaurant is expected to know presently whether it has made the final cut for the best restaurant in London.
If it does, then a cook-off event will take place at the Houses of Parliament in July to decide the winner.
Mr Love said: "We’re lucky to have a real choice of food from around the world to eat here in Edmonton. Turkish food got all the glory earlier this year at the kebab awards so now it’s the time for South Asian cuisine to shine and what better restaurant to fly that flag for Edmonton than the extremely tasty offerings from Chennai Spice."
