The first UK free shredding day is coming to Enfield this month.
People who might need a spring clean of old paperwork can take part in the nation's first shredding day in Enfield Town’s market square.
The event is hosted by Enfield-based company Crown Records Management and will take place at the Old Enfield Charitable Trust, in The Town.
A 7.5ton truck will be shredding unwanted paper from local businesses and anyone who wants to shed some paperwork.
Ann Sellar, head of secure destruction services at Crown Records Management, said: "Around 6 million people in the UK have been victims of identity theft.
"According to a YouGov poll Experts estimate that if you become a victim of identity theft and fraud you will spend anywhere from six months to two years recovering from it. Our free shredding day aims to eliminate this threat in a matter of minutes."
The event takes place between 8am and 2pm on Wednesday, April 30.
