Enfield Borough Council will introduce a series of measures in a bid to improve traffic flow in Lancaster Road.

The council will introduce waiting restrictions and parking on pavements to prevent parked cars from narrowing the road subject to any call in by midnight tomorrow evening.

It will also put in place similar restrictions at the junctions of Lynn Street, Walton Street and Weardale Gardens.

Enfield Council’s cabinet member for environment, Councillor Chris Bond, said: “We wanted to improve journey reliability along Lancaster Road, particularly for bus passengers and residents and businesses in the area overwhelmingly agreed with our proposals so we’ll be introducing them promptly.”
