Women in the armed forces teamed up with a faith group to showcase the role of women in the military.
The Women at the Heart of the Armed Forces meeting was held by Faith Matters at Enfield Civic Centre in Silver Street and focused on the role of women in the military and the armed forces within the community.
Speakers included members of the Military Wives Choir Foundation, made famous by Gareth Malone on the BBC, and the senior chaplain to HM Armed Forces, Reverend Kevin Bell.
Fiyaz Mughal, the director of Faith Matters, said: βIt was clear from the young women serving in our navy who volunteered to attend that there are women today playing key roles within the army, navy and air force.β
