A burglar has been jailed for more than two years after admitting the theft.
Wayne During, of Northumberland Park Avenue, Tottenham, was jailed for 28 months when he appeared at Wood Green Crown Court on March 10.
The 46 year-old had forced open a window of a house in the Enfield area on February 21, and once inside stole personal property and cash.
During was caught after police conducting a vehicle crime prevention operation stopped him at 7.10pm in nearby Park Avenue, Enfield.
He was carrying a large flat-headed screwdriver and a pair of woollen gloves and was charged with burglary after being found in possession of property that was traced back to the burglary location.
Detective Constable David Thorp of Enfield CID said: "Burglary is a terrible crime for any victim to deal with. It is crucial that we do all we can to bring offenders to justice and this is what happened to During.
“Anyone who has information about any burglary that may help police should call us on 101."
