A bear surprised shoppers at a supermarket as he helped a children’s charity launch its Easter egg appeal.
Baxterbear visited Asda in Southgate where he helped Noah’s Ark Children's Hospice representatives encourage people to donate chocolate eggs as part of their annual campaign.
The aim of the appeal is to ensure every child supported by the Noah’s Ark will receive an egg for Easter.
The chocolate eggs will also be used at the charity’s flagship Easter Eggstravaganza event at Capel Manor Gardens over the bank holiday weekend and during its fundraising activities at Brent Cross Shopping Centre during the Easter holidays.
Community fundraising assistant Taylan Uysal said: “This year we’re calling on more local community groups and businesses to get involved by inviting them to take a stall at the event
or run an activity. If you’re interested then do get in touch as soon as possible as spaces are filling up fast.”
To get involved call the fundraising team on 0208 449 8877 or email them on fundraising@noahsarkhospice.org.uk
