A group of school students tried their hand at building and programming their very own robots as part of the Mayor's Award for Science.
Sixteen pupils from schools across Enfield paired up with members of Middlesex University’s robotics department before putting their creative and scientific skills to the test.
Once their robot was up and running, they had to use it to complete a series of fun challenges.
Students from Winchmore School and Oasis Academy Hadley beat off competition from Broomfield, Southgate and The Latymer School to take first place.
The event, which was hosted by Middlesex University, was run in partnership with Enfield Children’s Service.
The overall winners will be announced at the Mayor’s Award for Science Celebration Evening on March 18 at Southgate School.
